Karim Rashid @ My.Suit Madison Avenue Launch Party
Posted by Jenny Rector
“A new year. A new decade. A new way to buy a suit.” Several members of the Designer Pages team headed to the launch party for My.Suit Madison Avenue through the blustering blizzard that hit Manhattan last night (and still today). It’s the brand-new flagship store for the made-to-measure suit maker - and the Guest DJ for the evening was none other than Designer Karim “DJ KREEMY” Rashid.
Here’s how it works (because it’s a cool concept - and uses the web): you get measured by a fitter in the store, and then go online or work with a style consultant in-store to order your fabric, style and design details. In 14 days you have a precise, made-to-measure suit for prices running from $495-$995. Check out the “suit builder” on their website, and you’ll wonder why guys ever complain about having limited clothing options!
While the suits that lined the walls were somewhat classic in styling, Karim was (as you may have guessed) decked out in his iconic garb: a fantastic pink button-up and crisp white suit.
