A Designer Pages Adventure…
Posted by Kanaan Gennerette Oliver
The Designer Pages crew is on the road again. Avi, Max, Becca and I packed up the Flomobile and set off to the “Charm City” for NeoCon East, or #NeoConEast, at the Baltimore Convention Center. Listening to a master mix from DJ Avi, I gazed out the window staring at the abundance of beautiful amber, maroon and forest green leaves pass me by. We had a minor pit stop, and by pit stop I mean a busted gas tank, causing us to exchange entertaining childhood stories and giggle about recent awkward encounters with random travelers for hours on end. The Flomobile then picked up the fifth wheel, Mr. Holder, in Philly. We showed a great deal of teamwork today; we were one team, united as one! From the quick car rental iPhone searches to a pizza party lunch in the parking lot of ”Tata’s Hair Braiding Salon,” we are a well-oiled machine.Well what is all this fuzz about you wonder? If you haven’t heard the buzz that’s swarming around DP, such as our write up in both Archinect and office News Wire, I’ll give you a little update as to what the office has been diligently working on.Designer Pages is breaking new ground at NeoCon East this year by introducing social media to the mainstream A+D world via Twitter. Using Twitter, Designer Pages will be streaming live content, in real-time all day, every day - to report on the latest show happenings, share breaking news and provide details on newly-released products. The objective is to elevate visibility and brand awareness for NeoCon East and event exhibitors, and to help drive awareness for the hottest design industry trends coming out of this high-profile event, all while offering an exclusive inside peek - almost as if you were there. Can’t make it to NeoCon East this year? You can still participate in the action with neocon.designerpages.com. It is here you will be able to experience the show and engage with the design community from the comfort of you pj’s and couch. There is definitely a certain appeal that comes with knowing I can sit on the couch with elephant pajama bottoms and an oversized Katz sweatshirt and still be a part of live history in the making. Learn how the power of social media can lead to new opportunities for you or your business. Follow the #NeoConEast at http://twitter.com/neoconeast and be sure to send a special shout out tweet to yours truly, DP!

Until next time, good night.
