Last Thursday, a few fashion-forward members of the Designer Pages team headed down to Soho for a glamorous soiree mash-up of contemporary Italian furniture, fine Italian suits and men’s lifestyle media insiders. The event was hosted at B&B Italia’s showroom by Esquire Magazine and men’s fashion label Canali to honor the launch of the 2009 Blackbook, an Esquire issue created as a modern lifestyle guide whose recent publication drew some 200+ guests.

Of particular note was the drawing for one of B&B Italia’s more eclectic seating pieces, an Up Series “lounge”, whose high-density foam design replicates (in gargantuan size) the exact shape of designer Gaetano Pesce’s foot. Hardly the most comfortable of B&B Italia’s armchair options, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t a tad bit jealous of the winner.
