Tuesday night we had the opportunity to check out the “Blogger’s Bash,” hosted by PR firm Veeder + Perman. You may read design blogs regularly and become somewhat acquainted with bloggers’ personalities but rarely, given that this is an online media, do you meet them face to face. Friendly, fun, and fabulous design-enthusiasts; post-bash I’m convinced that design bloggers are simply a very cool breed (and modest too.) We are thrilled to have made new friends from Apartment Therapy, Design-Calendar and The Huffington Post to name a few.

Aside from good food, good drinks and good company… the event was a personal success. I walked away with the best of the best in raffle prizes: Allsteel’s Acuity Chair. In Jake’s words, “The Acuity Task Chair is smokin’!” Not only is the chair itself great, but my ability to choose the finish, fabric and color has resulted in a bit of online play: Allsteel’s Acuity Design Tool allows me to digitally fabricate my options. Among the other raffle prizes were the Wii consoles, gallons and gallons of Benjamin Moore’s new Aura paint, a Dornbracht faucet and a Karastan rug.
The event was hosted in a fabulous raw space with high ceilings and large windows, which in its SoHo location was positively “New York.” So much so, the space may be the backdrop in an upcoming photo shoot of our founding fathers: Jake and Avi (pending their approval of course.) So stay tuned…
