More Press Means More People
Posted by Avi Flombaum
The great thing about the Designer Pages platform is that the more people on it, the better the site gets. It’s a bit technical, but suffice to say that the more people search and save and use products on the site, the more the site learns about these products. So if you search for “armless chairs” and click on Moon Series, by Cape Contract Furniture, the next time someone searches for armless chairs, we know that Moon Series is relevant and will return that higher.
Why am I mentioning this? Because we got some great press today and that’s going to be bring even more people to Designer Pages, making the site better for everyone. Grace at Design*Sponge wrote a great post about why Designer Pages is a great way to source products and keep track of materials. We love being a part of the burgeoning design scene online and thank Grace for writing about us, bringing more designers to our site, and making the community that much stronger.
While not design related, Emily Chang of eHub also wrote about us as the new social network for architecture and design. We’re web1.6 now, when we get our Techcrunch review, we’ll officially be part of the web2.0 world (hooray!). Then maybe Loren Feldman will make fun of us and we’ll be web3.0.
Welcome to all the new Designer Pages users, thanks for being a part of this project.
